Happy 2025 gents! Hope everyone had a nice holiday season and is ready to crush the new year. We got some exciting things planned for Dad Day, including community events, run clubs, and more.

PS: We launched a new website over the holidays. Humblebrag: it’s pretty sweet. Check it out here.

The Invisible Work of Being a Dad

Changing the air filters, installing the cabinet locks, checking the oil and tire pressure before every road trip, <Insert yours here>.

None of this shows up in the highlight reel. Your kids won't remember the time you spent researching the safest car seat or how many times you checked if the baby monitor was working. They'll never know about the 3am iPhone brightness checks or the quiet walks around the house making sure everything's locked up.

But that's the thing about being a dad. Some of your most important work happens in the background - the endless list of small things that keep their world turning smoothly.

They might not notice. But you do. And that's enough.

Michael Chernow - Breaking the Cycle

From running NYC's hottest kitchens to launching game-changing wellness brands, Michael Chernow knows a thing or two about transforming challenges into wins. But his biggest achievement isn't the Meatball Shop empire or Seamore's success - it's flipping the script on his own childhood story.

Growing up without the blueprint for a stable home, he's now building exactly that for his kids. While his wellness brand Kreatures of Habit is changing how people think about morning routines, he's busy creating the daily rhythms he never had: consistent bedtimes, epic adventures, and the simple magic of showing up fully.

"This is what matters... This is the work of a parent," he says. "Attention and love now, is what will bring the kids home for the holidays when they are older."

When you're running multiple successful businesses, it'd be easy to let dad life take a back seat. Instead, Chernow's making his most important moves at home. Through his podcast and daily life, he's showing that sometimes being a badass means breaking old cycles and building new ones - one present moment at a time. Follow Michael here.

Your At-Home Bartender

If you're not doing dry January (or need something to look forward to), check this bad boy out:

The Bartesian is basically a Keurig for cocktails, but way cooler. Load up your favorite spirits, pop in a cocktail capsule, and in 30 seconds you've got a perfectly mixed drink - no measuring, no mess, no mixology degree required.

  • Just fill with your choice of spirits (vodka, tequila, whiskey, gin, rum)

  • Drop in a cocktail capsule loaded with real juices and bitters

  • Pick your strength (from mocktail to "long day at work")

  • Hit mix and watch the magic happen

Price tag's not cheap, but neither is your local cocktail bar. Plus, you don't have to put on pants. Get it here.

The Easiest Way to Stay Motivated in the New Year

New Year, new you—or so the saying goes.

But let’s be real: motivation can fizzle faster than your kid’s interest in veggies. The easiest way to stay on track? Make it stupid simple.

  1. Pick a Time: Same time every day. No decisions, no excuses. Just show up.

  2. Set Mini Goals: Don’t overcomplicate it. “Workout 3 times this week” > “Crush 6-pack abs by February.”

  3. Find a Crew: Accountability hits different when your buddy texts, “You skipping, bro?”

  4. Reward Yourself: No shame in a post-workout treat—balance is key.

  5. Remember Your Why: Whether it’s to keep up with the kids or avoid pulling a hamstring on the trampoline, keep your “why” front and center.

Consistency > Perfection. Just keep showing up.

Jesse Itzler’s 5-Step Game Plan to Crush 2025

*this is a little longer than usual, but it’s good stuff to kick off the new year.

If you caught our Badass Dad feature on Jesse Itzler, you already know he’s a guy who doesn’t just talk the talk. He’s a dad of four, a serial entrepreneur, and the kind of guy who lived with David Goggins for 30 days just to see what would happen.

Jesse shared his 5-step method for tackling the year ahead, and it’s pure gold. Simple, actionable, and perfect for busy dads like us. Here’s his game plan to make 2025 the year you finally own it😀

1. Get Light
Cut the baggage from 2024. Clean your closet, clear your desk, unsubscribe from emails, and archive anything weighing you down. Dad life is busy enough—start the year fresh.

2. Give Thanks
Write thank-you notes to the people who made your year better. It’s not just about being polite—it’s about modeling gratitude for your kids and feeling good while you’re at it.

3. Find the Gap
Rate your life from 1 to 10. What’s missing? Better health? More time with your kids? A little more fun? Find the gap and make a plan to close it.

4. Pick a Misogi
What’s your one big mission for the year? It could be running a marathon, learning a skill, or planning an epic dadcation with the family. Make it something that defines your year.

5. Schedule It
Good intentions are nothing without action. Block out time on your calendar now, whether it’s for family adventures, fitness goals, or a project you’ve been putting off.

Spaces that make you want to stay a while

Hidden in South Tyrol's Dolomites, Hotel Sonnwies isn't your typical family resort. Think organic farm meets alpine luxury, where kids can tube down water slides before meeting ponies, while you kick back with views of jaw-dropping mountain peaks. The kind of place where "family-friendly" doesn't mean sacrificing the good stuff. Check it out.
