Purpose in the Everyday

On a recent podcast, Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) got asked, “Who are you jealous of?”

His answer? “Anyone who’s still got little kids at home.”

He explained why:

“I didn’t have to ask myself, ‘What am I doing here? How can I be a part of this world? How can I be meaningful today?’”

“Because the answer is… pick up everything between here and the door, make sure they get to school, and have a laugh with them.”

“I understood my purpose.”

It’s a reminder that purpose often hides in the everyday - the peanut-butter sandwiches, the school drop-offs, the bedtime laughs.

Because one day, you’ll realize those “little things” were the big things all along.
