About

The internet’s best hangout for dads.

We built Dad Day for guys like us, the ones trying to be good dads and good men. No politics. No gurus. No fake motivation.

Just stuff that helps you show up stronger, sharper, and a little more present. We curate the best stories, gear, and ideas from across the web and bring them together in one place.

Because being a dad isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up, learning, and passing something on.

Our Story

Dad Day started as a simple newsletter...

Founder Adam Kunes, dad to two boys (7 and 4, with a third on the way), was over the parenting blogs and irrelevant books for dads. They missed the point entirely, or leaned too hard into the cheesy “#1 Dad BBQ apron” thing.

After his first son was born, Adam felt siloed. He was one of the first in his circle to have kids. While his friends were out at happy hour and scheduling tee times, he was at home figuring out how to be a dad.

What he couldn’t find was a space that made dad life feel cool, capable, or connected. So he started building it.

It’s since grown into a community for modern dads who want to take care of themselves while showing up for their families.

When he’s not writing Dad Day, Adam’s usually chasing his kids around Charleston, lacing up for beer league hockey (back-to-back champs, nbd), or out in the water. He’s big on training, travel, and anything that keeps life interesting.

Because being a dad doesn’t mean giving up who you are; it means leveling up.
