📕 DAD WISDOM

They just see you

A theme that’s come up a few times in our Slack group this week: how hard it can be to leave your emotions at the door.

Whether it’s a tough day at work, a stressful conversation, or just one of those weeks where everything feels off - it’s easy to let that weight follow you into the house.

But here’s the thing: your kids don’t see the meeting that went sideways or the pile of tasks you’re behind on. They just see you.

And how you show up. Especially when you don’t feel like it, is what they remember.

It’s not about bottling things up or pretending life’s perfect. It’s about learning to pause, reset, and choose presence over pressure.

Easier said than done. But powerful when you can pull it off. And every now and then, it’s that choice that makes all the difference.

RAD DAD

Tony Knapton

📍Sheboygan, WI
💼 Entrepreneur (Radry Golf and White Dot Market)
👶 Dad to three kids: Ages 6,4,2

Meet Tony Knapton - founder of Radry Golf and White Dot Market, and full-time dad of three in Sheboygan, WI. Between launching brands and launching kids into the backseat for school drop-offs, Tony’s got a rhythm that’s part chaos, part calendar, and 100% intentional.

His non-negotiable? “Friday pizza and movie nights are pretty ironclad in our schedule,” he says. It’s one of the ways he slows down and stays present in a season that feels like it’s moving at double speed.

Radry Golf is his take on making the sport a little less country club and a little more cool, with gear designed for guys who love the game and don't take themselves too seriously.

But behind the brand is a dad who just wants to hang onto every snuggle he can get before the kids are too big to pile on the couch.

“Empty nesters always say they’d give anything to have finger prints on the windows, toys everywhere, late-night bottle feeds again... I think about that often.”

Follow him @tony__knapton and check out Radry Golf if your game could use a style upgrade.

DAD TOYS

Ooni Karu 12 Pizza Oven

Pizza Friday is non-negotiable in our house. But lately? One large pie, a kid-size cheese, and some wings is creeping close to $50 every week.

Enter the Ooni Karu 12. It’s a multi-fuel outdoor pizza oven that cranks out 12-inch pies in 60 seconds flat. Wood-fired, gas-powered, portable - this thing doesn’t just make pizza, it makes memories.

After a few Friday nights (and skipping delivery fees), it basically pays for itself. Plus, it turns dinner into an experience. Let the kids build their own. Try weird toppings. Whatever. Get weird with it.

JUNK DRAWER

A question came up in the Slack group this week: How are you staying in shape as a dad?

  • The answers? From early morning gym sessions to bringing the kids into workouts, from chasing progress over perfection to using accountability and small wins to stay consistent. One dad even shared how he lost nearly 100 lbs by focusing on tiny steps forward, not overhauls.

The takeaway? There’s no perfect plan — but there’s power in routine, momentum, and showing your kids what “built for more” really looks like.
