We asked the Dad Day crew about their biggest fitness challenges, and nearly 300 dads opened up. The results?

Surprisingly relatable.

The breakdown:

  • 38% can't find the time
  • 29% struggle with consistency
  • 20% battle motivation
  • 4% are dealing with injuries
  • 5% claim they're dialed in

But the numbers only tell half the story. The responses paint the real picture:

"Working 12+ hours a day to provide for my family. Hard to find the time," one dad shared. Another had just welcomed his first child: "I'm trying to figure out ways to carve time to work out while ensuring my wife can properly rest and recover."

The motivation struggle hits hard too. One dad's confession probably sounds familiar: "I got a rowing machine, used it for 2-3 weeks, then left it. That was months ago. I have similar habits with other things, not just exercise."

Even the small wins come with a laugh: "I used to waste time sitting in my car at the gym watching Netflix. So I canceled my membership and got a pull-up bar at home. Now I just walk by it hanging on the door, but hey - at least I'm not watching as much Netflix."

Here's the thing - when nearly 40% of us are struggling to find time, and another 30% can't stay consistent, we're clearly all fighting the same battle. Maybe knowing we're not alone in this makes those 5am workouts or living room pushups between Bluey episodes feel a bit more doable.
