A Note to New Dads (From Someone Who's Been There)
I was one of the first of my friends to have kids. While they were planning golf trips, I was changing diapers. Nobody told me what those early days would actually feel like - the isolation and the constant second-guessing.
To you new dads out there (and the soon-to-be dads sweating bullets): I promise it gets better. The phase where you can't remember if you showered? Temporary. That feeling that you'll never sleep again? Also temporary (mostly).
To the veteran dads nodding along: Remember those days? Now we're dealing with attitude rolls and screen time battles - different challenges, but at least we're getting sleep. Sort of.
Here's what I wish someone had told me: You're not doing it wrong. Every dad before you felt just as lost.
So hang in there, new dads. One day you'll be the one giving this pep talk to another bleary-eyed rookie. Until then, take it one diaper at a time. 👊

Chris Burkard: Finding Adventure in Fatherhood
Most photographers chase perfect light. Chris Burkard? This dude chases ice storms and arctic swells, capturing some of the world's most remote places. But his greatest adventure? Raising his boys in the raw beauty of Iceland.
In his own words: "I've been lucky to see a lot of incredible places & have some unforgettable adventures in my life so far... but these two are my greatest and I have a feeling they always will be."
"Honestly I'm still figuring it out," he admits about raising kids in Iceland, "but I know these moments will stick with me forever & I've never felt closer to my boys than in this last year."
Between shooting for National Geographic and leading expeditions, Burkard makes time for family adventures in the Land of Fire and Ice. He's not just teaching them outdoor skills - he's showing them how to find wonder in the world's wild places. Follow Chris here (pretty epic stuff).

Save Your Lower Back
After one too many "my back hurts" complaints (and possibly from lifting kids like they're barbells), we found this video on melting away lower back pain.
Check out these three simple moves that might save you from the "old man grunt" every time you stand up. Watch it here.

Playing Gas Light Roulette
According to YourMechanic, most cars give you 2-3 gallons after the warning. That's roughly 30-100 miles depending on your vehicle and driving style.
Sure, you could push it. But do you really want to find out your exact limit on a family road trip?
